Elimbah Central is designed to be convenient and social.

Ranfurlie Asset Management (RAM) recently submitted a revised development application to City of Moreton Bay seeking approval for a new supermarket, retail and neighbourhood centre in Elimbah. RAM lodged its initial development application in December 2023, following a community consultation process held in November 2023.

In response to Council’s and the local community’s feedback, RAM has revised the proposal to better serve the Elimbah community. The proposed centre has been renamed as Elimbah Central (from Rose Creek Village) to more closely reflect the location. The centre’s enhanced design is intended to contribute to the creation of an active neighbourhood destination – a place for people to shop, gather, dine, and play.

SHAPED BY THE COMMUNITY

The proposed site development responds to and complements its local context.

Convenient Retail Centre

  • A supermarket and retail centre would be positioned centrally within the site.
  • The centre opens onto an active public plaza.
  • Local residents can stay local to do their shopping rather than travelling to Caboolture or Beerwah.
  • Retail would include options such as a butcher, baker, beautician, café, restaurant, etc.
  • A flexible plaza can be a vibrant public place for gathering, dining, playing and other community activities, creating an appealing neighbourhood destination.
  • The plaza would be a safe, accessible pedestrian-focused shared zone.
  • Trees and beautiful landscaped plantings would provide shade and amenity.
  • The plaza’s mixed uses would create a vibrant public place.

Connected Beerburrum Road Frontage

  • The streetscape fronting Beerburrum Road would tie in with the existing footpath, offering pedestrian connectivity and seating areas.
  • Designs would incorporate clear signage and view lines to the public plaza entry.
  • Approximately 270 parking places cater to customers and employees.
  • Clear and connected, integrated pedestrian pathways guide people safely through the carpark.
  • Road arrangement offers safety and flexibility for future use.
  • Generous carpark tree planting would create shade and ecological value.

Landscaping and sustainability

  • A generous landscape buffer to the northern boundary would blend the site into the surrounding environment.
  • The existing northern landscape and mature trees would largely be retained with additional, complementary native tree plantings.
  • Acoustic barriers/fences with landscape screening would be provided to the northern boundary.
  • Rain gardens and other features would be incorporated through the site to help drain and naturally filter stormwater, and to manage wastewater on site.
